Families of Faith
Family Faith Formation sessions are held twice a month on Sunday mornings. This includes but is not limited to, Communion Preparation. It is designed to support parents, guardians, and families in raising children in faith throughout their elementary years. It is also intended to enrich the faith life of adult family members as we all strive to become disciples of Jesus. We meet twice a month, and in the in-between weeks, materials will be provided for at-home sharing and learning.
First Communion preparation is a two-year process within our Families of Faith. The earliest it can begin is when a child is in 1st grade; a child at any grade level beyond 1st may also begin. Once the young person has entered high school, individual needs will be assessed, which can be done in conjunction with confirmation preparation.

REGISTRATION INFORMATION FOR 2025 - 2026
Welcome to a new year in Religious Education/Faith Formation: Families of Faith!
Are you are a returning family, a big WELCOME BACK! Are you are a family joining us for the first time this year, a big WELCOME to you!
Together with our Families of Faith Team, we are delighted and looking forward to meeting all of you in person soon.
Our Families of Faith is a program that does not focus on children alone. We have First Reconciliation, First Communion preparation and we also have continuing formation after First Communion, which is so important. Our sessions are designed to support parents, grandparents, guardians, and other adults to raise children in faith throughout their elementary and middle school years. It is also intended to enrich the faith life of adult family members as we all strive to become disciples of Jesus.
In keeping with this intention, our sessions are for both children and parents. You will be meeting approximately twice a month on Sunday morning, at the Moran Center here on the parish campus. During these sessions there is time for each family to talk as a family about God and our faith, time for the children to meet in their own groups, and for the adults to receive spiritual/faith input - and so importantly – talk with each other on the level of adult faith and questions, as well as sharing practical help and encouragement in raising children of faith in today’s world.
On the weeks you are not on campus you will be leading the learning for your child/children. You will have a parent’s guide to assist you, as well as time during our sessions together to ask questions that your children may have asked and you were not sure how to answer. Other parents may have faced the same questions before you!
Our sessions on campus are:
Session A: 10:15 – 11:45, 1st & 3rd Sundays.
Session B: 10:15 to 11:45, 2nd & 4th Sundays.
Attendance at the 9:00 Mass before the Session is expected.
There will be exceptions in the scheduled Sundays due to holidays and special events.
Thank you for joining our Families of Faith! My prayer is that you will find, as so many of our parents have, a faith community of support, encouragement, a place where, as one parent put it: “we DO church together!” God bless you and your families.
